The ultimate objective of Project Nehemiah is to win the Battle for Britain
by rebuilding the church. In order to do this we believe that God is calling
us to “Effectively communicate the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to every
home in the United Kingdom”.
This is a huge task and will not be effectively done by just a few people.
We have always believed that God wants the local church at the heart of
ministry. We believe that God’s will for us is to work through Bible
believing churches to accomplish the goal to which He is calling us. While
many of the evangelical churches are Biblically based many of them have
aging members and have grown desperately small in number.
Our strategy is to help strengthen and spiritually rebuild the churches that
ask for our help through:
1. Evangelistic Consultation
Providing a grace based consultation service with churches to help them
develop an effective evangelistic strategy for their community.
a) “Trusting the Gospel Together”:
A seminar that will help believers rethink their concepts and approaches to
evangelism.
b) SWAT (Soul Winning Action Teams):
We believe that the “Trusting the Gospel Together” seminar will produce a
group of people (SWAT) in every church that will begin to network together
to reach the people where they live, work, and play.
2. '50/50' - Inter-Church Partnership Missions (IPM)
We are asking God to help us partner fifty North American churches with
fifty churches in the United Kingdom. These North American Churches will be
asked to serve the UK churches over a period of three years by sending teams
for at least two weeks every year. These teams will do various forms of
outreach in conjunction with the British IPM partner church.
3. North American Missionaries
As these short term IPM teams come to the UK we believe that the Lord will
call certain people to longer-term service in some of these UK churches
where they have had short-term ministry. We want to see combined fulltime
British and North American missionary teams working together to help
encourage existing churches and plant new churches.
4. New Churches
We are praying that God will raise up at least 5,000 as these new churches
begin to grow that they in turn will have a God given desire to plant new
churches
