The Country Café
The Country Café and Shop will be open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10.00am to 4.00pm (Times may vary in winter months). The key objectives for the Café and Shop are as follows::
1. To provide additional opportunity for learning and work based training.
2. To make a positive contribution to our local community.
3. To sell high quality products made in our own workshops.
4. To deliver a valuable and effective café/shop service.
Set in ten acres of meadowland, the Country Café has a warm, welcoming, bright, clean, modern feel. The wooden building, clad on the outside with Larch and on the inside with a fresh honey coloured Pine, has excellent disabled access.
Car parking facilities for the disabled and the elderly can take up to six cars with a ramp from there to the main café entrance. The glass entrance allows a wonderful view of the of the ten acre site, which includes a country walkway and picnic tables.
The café is also home to a large display of quality products made here by our residents and service users. We also aim to make and sell our own jams and pickles. Our craft and woodwork products are always in demand and the range is regularly updated. If you are looking for gifts for children or adults we have a broad and exciting range to choose from. Why not treat yourself to a delicious homemade cake and a frothy cappuccino whilst you are browsing?! Quality plants grown here at The Lodge Trust will also be on sale.
The café menus will be developed to eventually provide hot and cold beverages, sandwiches,
paninis, salads, homemade soup, all day breakfasts, hot meal ‘specials’ (including
vegetarian), homemade cakes, cream teas and various ice-
